About

In 1973 I got my first movie poster and it went straight on the wall; it wasn’t rare, it wasn’t old, in fact it was brand new – a poster promoting a new movie: American Graffiti.

I loved that poster. I thought it was such a cool design and the movie was just as cool – that poster hung on my wall for many years, sadly it’s long gone but it was my first.

Since then collecting things has been a part time hobby – stamps, coins, books, old signs, old sporting gear, old firearms, I even collect names (I am the family genealogist) – you get the picture!

I collected what I liked the look of or in some cases needed rescuing from being lost forever. I never thought what I collected would be worth anything, it was more the fact I really liked the look of it and that had some sense of history about it.

And so over the years some of it has been lost in the shifts, been given away and some put into boxes, drawers and bags as room dictated!

It was many years later when we moved to a bigger house in the outer suburbs of Sydney that I was able to start dragging out the things had been stored away and in some cases almost forgotten.

Such memories…items like the movie posters some have been beautifully framed and hung in the house, other items have been displayed around the house (the study) -permission sort from my wife first! However once unwrapped and ‘unboxed’, the posters were just taking up too much room and so I decided to build this website and sell some of them here – not as a major international poster retailer, more as an enthusiast who in his spare time is able to buy, sell and trade posters around the world. This of course is just a means to an end, I just buy more posters for my collection as a result…!

Of course what is on offer represents in the main, my personal tastes and I hope you like them as I do, for almost each and every one I can tell you exactly why I added it to the collection.

For all our customers we provide a money back guarantee on every item we sell, should, in the highly unlikely event, a poster proves to be not an original item as we have described.

If you have some poster that you would like to sell, well please drop me a line or give me a call – I can’t help myself, I love collecting movie posters!

Please enjoy what we have on display and for sale, we are adding new stock all the time so keep us bookmarked or join our mailing list.

sincerely

FYI: that original American Graffiti poster is now a collectable, I have no idea what it might have cost back then in 1973, maybe cost $2? In 1973 $2 then is worth only about $25 now…but that poster, in tip top condition could be worth as much as ten times that today!
