From Here to Eternity is the 1953 drama directed by Fred Zinnemann and based on the novel of the same name by James Jones. It deals with the troubles of soldiers stationed on Hawaii in the months leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Set in Paris this 1951 musical was inspired by the 1928 orchestral composition by George Gershwin and starred Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, and Oscar Levant. It was directed by Vincente Minnelli from a script by Alan Jay Lerner.
Starring Bette Davis as Margo Channing and Anne Baxter as Eve, All About Eve was released in 1950, was directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and was based on the 1946 short story “The Wisdom of Eve”, by Mary Orr.
Released in 1949, All the King’s Men is a drama Robert Penn Warren novel of the same name. Directed by Robert Rossen and starred Broderick Crawford in the role of Willie Stark.
