An original French movie poster for a French movie production!

AKA Benjamin -The Diary of an Innocent Boy was directed by Michel Deville and starred Catherine Deneuve, Michele Morgan, Michel Piccoli and Pierre Clementi.

The poster design was by Rene Ferracci (1927-1982) who was one of the premier French movie poster artists of the late 1960s, at the time nobody had seen anything like him! Ferracci was one of the early pioneers to introduce photo-montage/collage designs into his posters, mixing color illustrations with black-and-white photography (or vice versa) and offset printing.

Ferracci was one of the first artists to stamp (have printed) his name on each of his posters (seen on the right on this poster), and because of his fame (and perhaps early death) his posters have been collectable in their own right – just because he designed them!
