The film contains fifteen minutes of elaborate animation sequences by the political cartoonist and illustrator Gerald Scarfe. It earned its creators two British Academy Awards; ‘Best Sound’ for James Guthrie, Eddy Joseph, Clive Winter, Graham Hartstone & Nicholas Le Messurier; and ‘Best Original Song’ for Waters.
